Dead Preachers Society was a pastor mentor group meeting with Dr. Jim Shaddix at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in the early 2000’s. The principles of this group are the impetus for the current Dead Preachers Society (DPS), which held its first meeting in 2022. As pastors, we are to die to self in order to live for Christ (Galatians 2:20). DPS is a place where pastors come humbly, seeking to learn and to grow as ministers of the gospel. We are not looking for know-it-alls or big shots. This isn’t the place to build your platform. We desire to encourage one another, pray for one another, and push one another to follow Christ faithfully. If that is your heart—come join us!

Evening: Dinner on campus
Monday night: Date night for spouses and hang out time for the other brothers attending.

Lunch: Go to the Battery
Afternoon: Hershael York on preaching
{Wives are spending the day hanging out with Tanya York. She can either have them all together for a morning session and hang out that afternoon as Ali Pennington takes them shopping}
